During the Edo period when country-wide wars came to a halt and peace was mostly found throughout Japan the Tsuba found itself the object of greater attention. As with many parts of the Japanese sword and warrior attire did. This is based off tsuba from the Edo period in Japan. Highly stylized and interesting. Tsuba are one aspect of the katana that allows one to express oneself. They are often bought and displayed as works of art themselves.
